I deserve this time to grow. We waste so much time and energy getting other people’s approval, that we completely forget to seek our own, and this actually inhibits our growth! We start trying to see ourselves through other people’s eyes — or at least what we think they think of us! — and we end up chasing a figment of *other* people’s imaginations. No progress can be made in that state.
This is why time apart from other people (including being apart from a relationship, whether permanently or temporarily) is such a blessing. You strip away all the other demands that are put upon you by other people or society, and you get down to your raw ingredients. You get down to basics. And that’s when you get in touch with your REAL self, and find out what YOU want. What did you want to be when you were little, before you became aware of what other people wanted you to be? Maybe you don’t remember! That’s why time alone (especially as a single person) gives you the rare and precious opportunity to get back in touch with your original self … before everyone else’s expectations infiltrated your thoughts!

I always wanted to be a Latina fitness superstar and spending this time alone is reminding me why I started. I do it for that little Latina girl who sees me and has big dreams. I want to show these little girls that being positive and healthy can help you achieve anything. I am so excited I get to spend the night with my nieces. Tia Gia is always teaching them about self-care!

This week the goal was to get more apple cider vinegar in my drinks and this Kombucha made it taste so much better. It’s one of my favorite treats and helps make me feel full.

Another treat today was some yummy sushi! I limited my soy sauce, since the sodium is too high but enjoyed every bite!

Total food calories for today: 2,211, 34% Carbohydrates, 42% Fat, 24% Protein.
As you can see I had a lot more carbs today because I worked out for 2 hours. It is very important to get enough carbs in on days of long workouts. This helps build muscle and burn fat! The worst thing to do on a heavy workout day is starve, because this will only burn muscle.
Ok, time to get some rest and prepare for a long day tomorrow with my little nieces!
