
Learning to listen to my body when its tired is key to staying on track with our fitness goals. I have to give it what it needs when it needs it. In the past I have ignored this feeling and if you remember a couple years ago I injured my knees ligament in a fitness competition with Telemundo. This caused me to stay in bed for 3 months. There are consequences when we ignore what the body needs.
Today was one of those days where I needed to rest. Last week I was doing 2+ hour workouts and it caught up to me. For todays Live Youtube Workout I posted an older video from my classes online. I started going hard as soon as my 50 day challenge started and now my body is telling me to slow down or else. The emotional rollercoaster from last week also plays a role in how tired I feel. I practiced kindness today and let me body get an extra rest day. You need to stop for long enough for your body, heart or mind to tell you what they are longing to communicate. Take the time to listen.
