Creating inner peace in a totally chaotic world may seem like an impossible task, but it’s doable. The year 2020 has brought wars, deadly diseases, violence, racism, plus deadly hornets! This has also created financial and relationship stress for many of us. It can be a lot to handle, so how do we develop inner peace in times of crisis? We must train to become the goddess of inner peace with the choices we make. Chaos is inevitable, but what you need during a time like this is a calm mind and a healthy body.
“Every day brings a choice: to practice stress or to practice peace.” Joan Borysenko
We can practice peace by taking a break. Stop what you are doing and take a deep breathe in and exhale out. We first need to find our own internal calmness to make a healthy next step towards peace. Exercises that Relieve Stress should also be added to your inner peace practice. Our issues are in our tissues: a series of moving and stationary poses combined with deep breathing can help with stress management and give you a calm mind.
Finding a place of serenity in your home or outside by a tree can also calm your mind and help you meditate. Meditation is a crucial part of wellness. This can help you make better food choices and lifestyle choices. How we eat also affect our stress level. Food is energy. Good food will give you good energy, and bad junk foods will give you bad energy. It’s simple–everything is energy.
Focus on the things you can control. Take the 30-day Healthier you challenge to exercise, meditate, and eat better. Use your personal power of choice to develop inner peace, and your body will thank you.

Today was Blackout Tuesday, an initiative to go silent on social media, reflect on recent events, and stand in solidarity with Black Lives Matter. It’s a day to reflect on racism in America and, really, around the world. It’s the beginning of the collapse of the old world and the awakening of a new one. This got me thinking: our bodies do the same! When our bodies collapse due to poor lifestyle choices, it forces us to change. This happens to make us better. And that goes for our bodies and the world.
What is helping me through this chaotic times is inner peace. Inner peace is being aware of everything that is happening–not being complacent about it, but accepting our reality. I’m not saying it’s right, just that this is what reality is showing me right now. But as you sit still and be present to the moment, we allow a new perspective to flow through our mind.
It’s important to find purpose in this moment so our energy isn’t pulled in a negative direction. When you find your purpose, your focus and energy goes to it and peace and love start to flow into it. It trasmutes our fear into inner peace. My message is to practice inner peace, expand your mind, and find your purpose. Remember, no one can take our power, or our peace.

Peace doesn’t always come from peaceful situations. Instead, it often comes from being able to find peace within any situation — and that starts with you.

Change more than just your body
