
One choice can change everything. Choices become the story we play in life with romance, career, health and overall lifestyle. It’s a choice to leave dirty dishes in the sink, it’s a choice to not work out, it’s a choice to eat healthy–everything in life is a series of choices.
The perception of our identity influences our choices and certain actions, even at random, influence our identity. Good choices are decisions that keep you heading in the direction in which you want to go. Bad choices leads to stress, confusion, and despair. Jean-Paul Sartre said, “We are our choices,” and I completely agree. We are who we are based on our choices. Choices exemplify our individual character. The choices we make today, big or small, will forever affect our future. Every choice will have actions and then a consequence is delivered. I say this so we can understand WE ARE OUR OWN CREATORS!
Choices can also be encouraged by others and those can lead to bad behaviors. This is why it is important to surround yourself with health-minded individuals. In the beginning of my fitness journey, I did just that. I found a fit Latina I wanted to be like and I watched how she lived her life.
Our fitness is a collective series of daily choices. It isn’t just one or two choices, it’s every choice you make in regard to your lifestyle. So today I chose to invest in my self-care with an Ozone treatment and UV light therapy at Rejuvenate Wellness and Health Center. Both of these repair tissues and cells of body and improve circulation of oxygen-rich blood in the body, promoting faster healing of deep tissues, which was perfect for me after yesterday’s heavy-load weight training. I felt so good after coming out of my cocoon.
And I’m happy to report those good choices continued in my day. I mentioned I was recovering from the Sunday workout so I needed to listen to my body and follow a lighter routine–but for my subscribers who were joining me during that Youtube Live, it was the perfect warm-up to activate their glutes before a more intense routine.
