
If you’ve been following along the past few days, you already know my relationship status has been on my mind. Two days ago was especially hard, and I was on the verge of wallowing in self pity over my singledom. But then I had a conversation with my girl who is in a relationship. She told me that although she’s happy in her relationship, she still misses her single days, because that was the time she felt she made the most progress on herself. She came to see her single life as a gift because it was an opportunity to focus on herself and no one else. It was a period of total freedom and total progress.
Don’t waste your single time, you’ll miss the gift.
We have to trust the process — you have to go through good moments, bad moments, and all the in-between. It’s okay to sit in the sadness because often you learn more from those moments than you do from the happy ones.
Moving on.
I went to the pool and got some sun & for a walk close to the beach (because we’re not allowed on the beach!). Vitamin D really does lift your spirits. I’m okay not feeling all right all the time, but I will enjoy the good moments when they come to me.
