One of the four agreements from the book “Four Agreement: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom” is to always do your best! Author, Don Miguel Ruiz added; Be impeccable with your word. Don’t take anything personally. Don’t make assumptions. These are life rules I live by. In these 50 days of my body transformation challenge my main focus is to do my best. I cannot achieve a goal by being lazy. If I do my best, no only will I more likely achieve my goals, but I will also avoid criticism from my internal Judge. I will not try and do better than my best but I will make sure its my 100%. I know pushing me too hard can cause pain, injury, and mistakes. I recognize that my “best” will vary from moment to moment, that, in a sense, I am always doing my best.
Realize this, and the inner Judge can take a permanent vacation.
We are born perfectly loving, playful, and genuine. The harsh judges in our head become our parents, teachers and media. I have been mediating in my loving and playful childlike self. I imagine myself being that 7 years old genuinely loving life. Its important to remember who we were before society and our parents conditions. We had to follow Worth–standards of behavior to receive love and avoid criticism. Eventually, these standards become internalized into our life script which become our unconscious set of instructions for living life. I am on a quest to reprogram my subconscious so I can love myself no matter what I do or look like.
